Connecticut Takes Aim at Businesses in India Seeking North American Expansion

Later this month, a webinar being coordinated by AdvanceCT targets businesses in India considering an entry point to expand into North America, and actively deciding where to take root.  Businesses are urged to listen in to “join an expert discussion as we forage into the opportunities posed by Connecticut that incent key investors in their entry to the North American market.”

Featured speakers are Indra Nooyi, former CEO of PepsiCo and former Board Co-Chair of AdvanceCT, and Ravi Kumar, President of Infosys, with a strong footprint in Hartford.  Joining them is AdvanceCT President & CEO, Peter Denious.  The hour-long webinar is planned for April 28.   Infosys, launched a technology hub in the city in 2018, now one of two dozen locations for the global technology company in the U.S.

This week, Larsen & Toubro Infotech, which is headquartered in Mumbai, India, announced plans to open a new “engagement center” in the historic “Boat Building” on Constitution Plaza where it will occupy 13,000 square feet and reportedly may hire 100 people, and up to 300 on a hybrid basis.

Connecticut is approximately 12,548 sq km, while India is approximately 3,287,263 sq km, making India 26,098% larger than Connecticut.
