Grants will Support Hospital, Community Health Center Outreach on Race, Ethnicity, and Language Data

With grants from the Connecticut Health Foundation, seven hospital systems and community health centers will conduct community listening sessions, establish patient advisory boards, and undertake other activities designed to improve how they collect and analyze data on patients’ race, ethnicity, and preferred language.

Food Trucks Drive Closer to Streamlined Permit/Licensing Process in Connecticut

The Connecticut Department of Public Health has announced a cooperative, “first-in-Connecticut” policy of reciprocal permits and licenses for food trucks across the state, technically known as itinerant food vendors. The goal is to make the process - particularly for food trucks that seek business in multiple towns - easier for the truck owners, and more convenient for consumers.
