10 Connecticut Organizations Earn Spot on Forbes List of America's Best Large Employers

Forbes magazine’s annual list of America’s Best Large Employers includes 10 Connecticut companies in 2022, representing numerous industries, various locations across the state, and the State itself.

“Two years into a pandemic that’s forever transformed the workplace,” Forbes points out, “whether working from home or the office, Americans’ priorities have changed, and what makes a top employer has changed, too.”

Forbes partnered with market research firm Statista to compile our list by surveying 60,000 Americans working for businesses with at least 1,000 employees. They were asked to rate, on a scale of zero to ten, how likely they’d be to recommend their employer. They were also asked to rate their companies on factors such as working conditions, development opportunities and compensation.

The final list ranks the 500 large employers that received the most recommendations.  Three Connecticut-based organizations earned a place in the Top 50:

#12 Yale University: The Ivy League institution based in New Haven.

#32 Stanley Black & Decker: The power tool focused manufacturer, previously known as Stanley Works, is based in New Britain.
